Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung was the heart of the Joseon Dynasty

—the center of royal life, government, and national ceremonies for more than five centuries.

But Gyeongbokgung is more than a historic palace.

It is a place where we can look closely at the ideas, values, choices, and systems that shaped a society.

We believe history is not simply something to remember.

It is something to learn from.
